AVP was a stupid concept. Can't see why they poured cash into it.

(careful! nerd alert)
AVP isn't a stupid "concept".. AVP is the true story of that universe. Preditors ARE a huge part of the reason why Xenomorphs are found all over the galaxy based on the actual story.
The problem is with the AVP moves themselves. They tried to follow the story somewhat closely, especially in the last AVP movie... but they were just terribly executed and they mucked up the time-lines a bit from the original aliens universe.
*pushes nerd glasses back up on nose*
I wasn't blown away by Prometheus at all... The previews made it seem so much bigger than it ended up being. Enough happened to make me want to know how it all turns out though, so I'll def watch part 2, if there is one.
ridley scott himself said the movies were in no way connected....so that thing that was birthed at the end wasnt anything related to alienwas pretty good, thou it ruined the 2 alien vs predetor movies and if they do anymore correct?
Spoiler
Being that the remaining "maker" was who birthed the first Alien?
No it is a stupid concept. Ridley Scott, the person who started the alien series never even watched any of the AvP movies. James Camerson, the only other person to make a respectable film in the series said avp screwed the whole franchise up. If you saw prometheus then you should know predators have nothing to do with xenomorphs. the "engineers" created them. Predator was a b level film that got thrown together with aliens in some comic books a long time ago, and then some genius in hollywood thought they could make money off the stupid idea.
David put his finger in the goo, then his finger into the water he gave Elizabeth's husband. They then had sex, thus Elizabeth was impregnated by him (her husband) not David directly.-----------------SPOILER-----------------------Not necessarily. It was inferred that they created a lethal virus that was going to be used to wage war on the human race (why was never answered in the film). The Xenomorphs came about (bare with me) when David (the robot), injected or otherwise infected Elizabeth with a compound (not the degenerative virus otherwise seen) that impregnated her with the "squid". After she surgically removed this "squid", it battled with the last Engineer ultimately defeating him by forcing a tentacle down his throat therefor impregnating him with was implied to be the first Alien. Makes absolutely no sense seeing as how the original avp movies are in relatively present day and this movie takes place farther in the future. I'm still unsure what David used to originally impregnate Elizabeth, but that is what I gathered from the whole thing.
Good Call. So Compound=Mystery Goo (Second Biological Weapon?)David put his finger in the goo, then his finger into the water he gave Elizabeth's husband. They then had sex, thus Elizabeth was impregnated by him (her husband) not David directly.
I liked the movie but some of it was confusing (i.e. the weird snake creatures that turned the one dude into a zombie? lol wtf)
