ProjectPechkin's 2005 Legacy GT BUILD LOG! **PICS**

I would just buy a generic dash kit for a din and a half din pocket, then just jimmy rig it in there. I would probably keep the h/u on top though, otherwise you will likely run into problems either with the motorized face, or you won't be able to close the lid. (I'm not sure if this will actually happen, I don't have the pieces in front to play with, so just a guess based on the layout and space you have)... If you really want an eq, use that instead of a pocket, otherwise just throw a pocket in there. You can also just get like those metra self install faceplates or whatever... you cut it out and then you could use it to cover up the pocket if you don't like that look. In fact, I have an extra one of those things sitting in my room if you want, I'll give it to you so that you can use it if you need/want

Update

Okay so snow has arrived, and has made it piss cold, I just got done installing my alternator, and didn't feel like taking any pics since I wanted to get it done quick.

Since I have factory tint on my car, the place said they can't remove it with the weather being this cold.

Factory tint comes off easy, heat gun and one smooth consistent pull, I removed tint in january when there was snow on the ground to bring my car to the tint shop
Can't remove that tint with heat gun. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Steamer and/or the sun are needed.

Spoke to 6 different places.

that's pretty much what I said....

PIITG=Put it in the glove(box)

I tint windows on the side almost 6 times a month for people... I my self use a heat gun and I know many pro shops that only use heat guns... I tinted windows in an Excursion December 21 snowing and bitter cold and just heated up my garage and pulled old **** off and layed on the new **** with no problems... No bubbling or pealing of the tint anywhere.

What shops did you call that said no heat gun?

Aparently the film on the legacy gt is glue in to the rear window defroster, and cannot be removed with the heat gun method.

Otherwise, the rear def panels will rip out and cost me $$$ to repair

Man, I'm never doing any work outside on my car in the snow again...

Mounting an new intercooler in a blizzard was something I hope I never have to do again...

Car hauls ass though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
