dad's friend has a dark red volvo 144. Man, it's ugly, and I dunno how the old man can drive it without power steering, but it still runs without ever having a single backfire. Impressive stuff, volvo.

and as for the glassed seats, its gonna be a little tricky to get them done right, id prolly try and make a chair from foam and make a mould for eaither side off the same relief of the foam chair... then hot-glue and do the rest of the glassing.

and remember - when doing fiberglass, USE MDF WHEREVER THERE ARE LARGE FLAT AREAS!

also - if you are gonna glass right to ABS plastic, get some 'adhesion promotor' to make sure it sticks really well... you dont want the glass peeling off. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

hey hey hey, were are in neighboring states so i am freezing just as much as you are, though today is very warm for an odd reason, w/e.

What i am going to do is with the cusions, i am going to carefuly cover it with blue carpenters tape and use fiberglass cloth over it, then fiber glass it, let it dry then remove it. Then i am goiing to use more fiberglass and fiber cloth in the underside. have about 4-5 layers there for extra strength. The seat area will be smoothed out with cat hair and icing etc. sanded down with 200 grit paper and painted mainly in chrome But this won;t exactly happen until the next month so you have to hold on till i have the time to do this.

ehehe, and thats why these things are called bricks. They last you forever. I think i saw online that a guy in ireland had his volvo from the 80's or 70's i think and has over 3,000,000 miles and still counting. forgot the site though
