great looking box, Interesting technique on putting the pieces together.

i wish i had that many clamps.... i've only got 6. So it's screws for me.

yes i used sketchup.its a great program.
as for calculating displacemt of the ports i will use and example

fist take the pice of bracing and find out how much it displaces (HxWxD /1728)



12x12x.75/1728=.0625

next make the cutout in the bracing



6x6x.75/1728=.0156

then subtract the 2 numbers

.0625-.0156=.047cf

this piece of bracing displaces .047cf hope that helps a bit.

no matter how many clamps you have there are still places that are going to require screws. i think i used 6 1 1/4" screws.
