Profile Vs. US Acoustics

Hey, i've searched the boards to see what people have thought but never an actual comparison. Im debating between the Profile CA440 and the USX USB 4065. The USX is 120 while the profile is only 85, from the zeb. Which would you reccomend? im going to be running infinity components off of two channels and an mtx 4000 sub. I like the bass boost on the profile, also the cheap price. but are the profiles crappy? woudl it be worth the 40 bucks to get the usx? thanks

Def Profile. Profile is an excellent amp that is easily affordable. It's a much better amp than the U.S. Profile has many great features. Don't worry about the bass boost, even though profile has it. Your subs should provide plenty enough bass without having to use the boost much. Be more concerned with your gains ok. But I would go with profile, very reliable, cheap, and all in all a great qualiyt amp.

Well, i own a profile amp and Iám very happy with it, but i have read that Us acoutics are better built and some good stuff over this forums.. anyway you'll be happy with both.. if you're in a bugdet like me and want the amp fast go with profile you wont be dissapointment..

I still say profile, I mean u will probly be happy with both. The Profile is a more budget amp. But either way u will be happy. But I like the profile. just my opinion

I myself run a Profile Amplifier. Just from my experience, I say take the profile, but thats only cuz I love the company. From what I hear on this site, US Acoustics would also be a good choice. The only diff is prolly that the US's are built a lil better, but if you treat Profiles good then you wont have any problem out of them. Its all up to you. Never had any personal experience with US Acoustics so I cant tell you how they each sounds compared to each other.

I'd definately say the US Acoustics, as long as your not on Welfare, I think the 40$ would definatley be well spent. You will be getting alot more quality. I think of Profile as cheap wattage, and the US Acoustics would be alot cleaner, which would definatly be noticable on the infinity's.

I have owned both profile and U.S. Acoustics. I particularly would say that U.S. acoustics is much better than profile. The build quality is better, reliability is better, and my overall satisfaction is better. PLUS! i don't know about where ur gettig it from , but mine cam witha 3 year warranty! The 2 profiles i have owned...the first one has been sent back twice...the second one has also been sent back. BOTH w/ in a few months of buying them...the second amp was w/ in a month. Although, profile is not a bad amp for the money, they put out rated rms, i would definetly be more confident with the U.S. acoustics. After looking at both again and considering prices...i decided to go with a usx2080!(for me) good luck, peace

Well if you decide to go with Profile, one thing to put into consideration. The Clarus tends to run the same boards as the California. They just pump the ratings up a bit. The California is also cheaper. So I would say go with the California. Same boards but cheaper.

I have had my profile for almost a whole year and had no probs. And it was powerful enough to blow my 2 12" polk audio GNXs(not a big deal but it shows it does have the power claimed by the company)

US acoustics run's circle's around Profile in any category. 1 the rated power of the Profile can only be had at 13.8 volts or higher the US Acoustics at 12.5volts and will do a little bit more if you run 14 or higher. 2 the us acoustics is a MUCH better build quality under the hood of the sucker. 3 it's got better build, warranty, reliability and backing. i've used both and us acoustics puts profile to shame, now my new amp that will be here in a week will put all to shame though woo hoo Zapco c2k 2.0 here i come.

im a huge fan of profile....but i have to say the us acoustics is the better amp of the 2.
