profile or hifonics

[noob with an RS 10+ year member]

i bought a Hifonics NX600 for 140 off of ebay last week. does anyone think i should've spent that 140 on a Profile 2-channel amp or is it fair to say hifonics and profile are pretty much equal in quality? i'm using the amp to power a set of infinity perfect components.

i have no prob with hifonics. i would probably rather spend my money on hifonics than profile. but i dont think you could really go wrong either way.

I'm not a big Hifonics fan.....I prefer US Acoustics and Profile for budget gear. But, if you like it, and it works for you......no reason not to use it.

Porfile- the only complaint I had with my Ca2400 was it would't work when it was cold. You had to stroke it a lil' to wake it up on a below 0 morning.

I doubt anyone is into masturbating a cold amp to get to school in the morning.

Oh well, what can I say for 50 bucks?

Hifonics- know nothing

I had an HiFonics, installed by a local audio shop.. worked for 3 weeks, then went into protect mode anytime bass hit. I have read ALOT of similiar problems but I have also read ALOT of happy customers... it's hit or miss pretty much....I was lucky enough to buy one off Ebay that the seller replaced at no extra charge....then I learned my lesson and about a nine.1 amp!!

Hifonix was great back in the day but I dont know too much about their new stuff. Just look at it this way, If it is doing the job you bought it for then you picked the right amp!
