I was wondering if anyone else used this amp. Because i was wondering if it could handle a 1ohm load, since the specs says it can only do 2. Would it be a bad idea to try it?

i don't think it'll handle 1 ohm.

x2.....it's a budget amp, so i would doubt it's 1 ohm stable-but you can imagine what it'd be like though!! lol

worst is that you'd blow it by trying to pull too much current.

but hopefully the protection light would flip on, the amp woulddn't play, and then you could hook your sub(s) back up correctly and all would be well again.

i had a profile 600msx running 1.5 ohm for a while then it started having issues.

x600.1 ftw!

I ran my CA600 at 1.4 ohms mono for a while. no problems

i had one for a while, tried it a 1 ohm for a day, it got scary hot, but didnt die... mabye if you could keep it cool you could do it.

Both the Profile amps I have/had (AP100M and AP400) get real hot under normal use. I had the AP1000M at 2 ohms and I have the AP400 at 4 ohms per channel.
