could the mods close this down its obviously going no where.. now i got 21 yr old kids comin in runnin their mouths.. ive been doin car audio since 1998.. you were what the ripe age of 10?? do you not agree his post about making the amp a boat anchor was retarded and had no place in the thread.. this is my last post in the thread casey hasnt came back to tell us if he fixed the problem so i dont care about it ... unsubscribing now

just because you can get profile amps refurbed for $40+ does NOT mean they are pieces of shit. id like to see where you people get this information. ive ran a couple of them and have seen numerous people on here run them as BUDGET amps and they work great doing just that. while they arnt a kicker , sundown ,dls, etc. they do work great. i remember when i ****ed up one of my 600msx's running it a 1.5ohm (iirc) instead of its rated 2 ohm for months , i got a whole new board for $40 + return shipping from profile in Ca. not too many companies can do that for a 400wrms mono amp. id reccomend them all day for someone whos trying to save a few bucks.

iirc , they do NOT like any type of bad grounds. if you have the least bit of a bad ground they will get hot. id double check that.

Okay, I rewired the subs, but the amp was still overheating.

I bought a small car fan and hooked it up in my trunk, and I haven't had any problems with overheating since. Of course, it's been a little cooler lately so maybe that's all it is.

iirc , they do NOT like any type of bad grounds. if you have the least bit of a bad ground they will get hot. id double check that.

The amp is grounded straight back to the negative of the battery.
