So i was looking through crutchfield just a few minutes ago, trying to arrive at a decision about which amp I'm going to buy. First I saw the Profile CL600M, which is a mono amp that puts out 450w RMS × 1 at 2 ohms. I thought this would be good for the sub i'll be using, a Rockford Fostgate HE2 15" rated at 500w RMS. At $190 it also fits my budget. Then i looked at the Profile CL800, and the crutchfield catalog specified that it provides 600w RMS × 1 in bridged mode. Is this rating for 4 ohms or 2 ohms? If it's 2 ohms, would it be acceptable for use with my dual voice coil subwoofer? And is it worth the extra fifty bucks?

thanks

ytry looking at the jbl 600.1

300W x 1 @ 4 ohm

600W x 1 @ 2 ohm

Also, i think its a bit underraated, plus its only about $190 to=]

It would also be easy to add an equalizer to have individual rca inputs for all of the channels. A decent one can be had for less than $40...

This tested well on youtube - not familiar with the brand but it is a pretty standard china build house amplifier...

I agree with every one above. OFC is much better. Copper is a much better conductor than aluminum.
