I'm running a set of these active right now, and they sound GREAT! I was just wondering what others that are running this set active have their crossover points set at, and if they're giving them the recommended 120w rms per speaker, or more.
No, that's their peak rating. RMS rating for both the CAL26 and the Phase Plug woofer is 120w per speaker.i thought they were 180RMS???
Thanks man....I guess I should clarify that I'm not really looking for 'instruction' on how to set my xover points, just people's different experiences with setting theirs, so that I can get some ideas on how to go with mine.in an active setup, it is entirely up to the install to determine xover points. sorry we can't sit here and tell you what to do. you must play with xover points yourself. however, like manny mentioned, i like to underlap my xover points. maybe try xovering the tweeter at 3khz-3.5khz at different slopes and see how that sounds. but again the xover pts are entirely up to you.
I was going to run mine passive, but my crossovers seems to be fried, so I went the active route. How do your sound being run passive? You like the sound?oh ok....im running them passive with 200 watts to each side....is it completely different for active...are you biamping?
