Problems with preouts on new head unit

Hello peopl , I am looking for someone with experiance with Rosen nav units. I just installed a Rosen piranha nav unit in my truck and I am not getting any signal out of my preouts. Everything else seems to be working alright but i am using an amp for my front speakers. I am hoping i am just missing something ! Any ideas?!?!

Is your amplifier turning on? Does it work if you plug in a different source, like an iPod with a 3.5 mm stereo to RCA male adapter cable?.

This unit has some truly awful crossovers. 5 kHz/10 kHz/15 kHz tweeter crossover? wtf

lol ! i normally dont use the crossovers in the head unit anyway, I wanted a Kenwood unit but the only one that fit my bill was twice the money . on topic , yes the amp is working fine, i measured the line out voltage am i am getting nothing , even put the scope on it and not getting anything worth mentioning just spurious emissions. the question is if there is something in the unit to turn it on, i have never seen it before but things change every day .

Yes, this is why I linked to the manual and told you to read the last 2 pages. If the levels are set to 0 you won't get anything from the pre-outs.

problem solved, installer error ! i was under distress yesterday due to the fact that i was on call for otis and trying to install a stereo in my truck and kept having to stop to go work on elevators and did not have the plug on the back of the unit seated all the way. everything is fine now . today i was tuning everything and the head unit did not clip on the preouts so that was a good sign , seems to be a preaty clean head unit .
