Problems with .mp3 cd's burned with Nero

it actually tells you which company manufactured it
Off-brand media often "borrows" media codes from name-brand media with the same speeds as the off-brand advertises. A lot of low low low low low junk media that ADVERTISES 16x will be marked as mitsubishi (verbatim) so that it will burn at 16x, when in reality, it's probably closer to 8x (or less) quality media.

The media labels aren't necessarily to be trusted.

My buddy has a newer pioneer with the usb hookup. I don't know the model. Anyway, his cd player plays the cd. Maybe my 8600 is getting old. I picked up a Pioneer cd-rb10 cable so I can hook up an mp3 player to the aux input. Goodbye cd's and hello 40gb mp3 player holding all the jams.
