Problems with eclipse 5444

I took my Eclipse 5444 out of one vehicle and put it in another one this evening and the cd player will not work. It worked fine before I took it out. The radio still works fine but the cd player does not, it spins and reads fine but there is no sound. I can not find my manual, so if anyone can help, it would be appreciated.

IIRC there should be a reset button on the Eclipse. Try that first.

Doesn't that unit have a special CD that you pick and use when you installed it in the first vehicle that acts like a security key. If so when you removed it from a power source you would have to use the CD again to get it to play. I know some Eclipse models had that and it may be the issue with your unit. I would think it would flash "security" on the display or something though.

If you are running through an external amp then it sounds like you have the amps remote turn on hooked to the power antenna wire and not the remote turn on wire. you know the blue wires on the deck, blue and blue with white stripe. if so swap to the other wire and it should work.
