well ive got an alpine mrp-m450 amplifier here, and it doesnt feel like putting out any power..
amp turns on and everything, it has sufficient voltage to run.. 14.2-14.4 volts.. should be enough
now the thing is it just wont put out ANY power. i had it hooked up to a type-e, worked fine got a new amp for the sub and decided to run speakers off of it, didnt work.. on the side theres a place for a harness to hook up speakers, tried that didnt work used the direct output terminals got nothing at all, took out the DMM changed to AC voltage placed the proper leads on each terminal and it read 00.0 volts, so this told me it wasnt putting out any power..
so i took off the back of the amp to check out the guts, ive been examining it for bout 20 mins or so now and dont find anything disconnected or blown or anything
anyone know what it could be?
oh and the amp is 2 ohm stable, we had 2 type-e subs hooked up to it and sometimes it would shut off, cut out like an amp would that was trying to push out power to a lower ohm load its not cabale of doing, each sub is 4.2 ohm coils (SVC) wired in parallel and it gave us a 2.4 ohm load final impendance it would cut out at high volumes, hooked up 1 type-e and worked fine..
what could the problem be
