Problems with a sale, maybe you can help us resolve *jr2320

Well jr2320 had a razr here on this forum for sale. I bought it from him.

After the first week I ask him did he send it, he said he had a death in the family and would get it right out.

The second week I ask him, he said he got his g/f to but UPS sent it back for some reason and he would send it the next day (I believe is what he said)

Well I got it about 2.5-3 weeks later (tonight)

Opened the box and everything looked good until I got to the charger.

He sent a samsung charger with a Motorola phone. I then inspected the phone and the back piece that covers the battery, the little piece of plastic on the bottom that holds it in is broke.

Well I dug up my old razr charger and began to charge it, it is still on charge. When I try turning the phone on the buttons will flash a light at me and that is it. The phone does not work.

I mentioned the charger and back piece not working and he said well UPS must have messed it up, I should have looked it over when they gave it back to me.

I send him another letting him know it would not power up and he said "the phone works perfectly find." That is quoted from the PM.

I then sent him this PM "Still not working, I will take a video in just a minute and send it to you. I do not want to have problems I just want what I paid for. I did not pay to wait 2 or 3 weeks to get it, I did not pay for a broken piece on the back. I did not pay for the wrong charger. I also did not pay for a broken phone.

I dont want to have any problems, but I am not accepting this for what I paid for."

He has not replied.

I am not saying anything bad about the seller as of right now I just want it resolved and he has not sent me a PM back.

Maybe he will talk on here and maybe we can get other opinions and a resolution. I have filed a claim with paypal also.

 
sorry about this i sent a pm i got off the comp.for alittle an now just check. somethin did go wrong with ups.cuz i had to go pick it up form the store and re did the shipment.never had that done but a full refund will come

 
I had kind of the same problem, I was gonna trade my Pioneer TV for an Alpine and when I got the Alpine and installed it the right half of the screen was messed up, I sent him a message and repeatedly said the screen was fine when I sent it out everything worked perfectly!!!! used thousands of exclamation marks everytime lol. anyways, he eventually offered to take it back after a while. but you just have to talk to the guy and explain to him that you didn't want a phone that doesn't work and you want your money back

Thank you for stepping up and doing what is right. After I get the refund I will take the claim away. Would you also send the extra for shipping?

I just tried doing this to get my girls mom a phone and trying to take it off of your hands. I dont want to come out short handed. Thanks again.

 
yea shippin should only be like 10 to 12.im not goin mess around if u say it doesnt work then ill take ur word.when i had it worked fine.like i said i still think somethin was fishy about the ups deal that i had to go threw.

 
I have first hand experiance with ups, and can say that they screw alot of stuff up.

they may have broke the phone by throwing it around. They actually play football with some stuff. How do i know this? I am a sales rep for a courier company, and all our shipping outside of our are is done with ups. We ship around 150-200 packages a night with them, and at least 5% have some sort of problem. Stuff gets broken, lost, you name it, it happens. I have visited the main ups depot here, and know people that work there. They dont handle stuff very well.

Not saying that this guy didn't try and pull a fast one, just speaking what i know about ups. btw fed-ex ftw. we deal with them as well, and they are way more professional about handling.

 
on a side note about water damage.. i actually left my phone in my pants once and threw it in the washer.. did the whole cycle and all.. when it came out.. all i had to do was recharge it and it started right up.. no problems. Its a Samsung phone and I was pretty amazed myself.

 
edit- found out the ex read the message therefor I didnt see it, I got the address, he is letting the ***** go very smoothly (sp?) My Fault!

Well it ended up turning on. It needs a password though, he said it was a tmobile phone and then unlocked and it will not work with tmobile. He has sent me passwords and I have tried and it has not worked, said he would refund the money so I have sent a few PM's and he is not responding. He said he would send the money after I showed him a tracking number, he has messed so much stuff up and took so long I dont know if I should believe it. Wanted to bring this back up so maybe he might PM me.
