Problems that noone can answer :( 2009 tahoe LTZ

I was thinking about just taking out the cleansweep and using an alpine PXE-H650 to process the signal, although I'm not sure if this will fix my problem or not. The guy at the place I went today had his avalanche (2008) hooked up to a JL HD600.4, with the factory bose speakers in the back and some focal k2p in the front, just running off the factory nav unit (just like mine) and it sounded awesome. So I'm almost convinced it's the clean sweep that's causing the problem. However, I don't really understand how all of the signal processing works, so I'm not sure what to do.

I'd suggest starting a new thread asking for help from some people in dallas. id say try going there first and making the complaint. Dyns are some of the most respected speakers, from what ive read, and for them to sound like you are describing is almost unbelievable. I don't believe that simply having the cleansweep hooked up is causing such a problem. for all that you are describing is wrong, and the amount you spent, i think they did a horrible job and need to be told they did a horrible job and given a chance to fix it. speak with the shop owner/manager, chances are today when you called you spoke with an installer that is just trying to cover his *** and hope you just say screw it and dont come back.

another thing ive notice based on alot of peoples complaints about local shops is that not alot of them know what they are doing when it comes to tuning. i have a friend that is a very good installer (fiberglass, woodworking, knows wiring, etc) but when it comes to tuning he is almost clueless. this could be the case here.

I am going to go back and do a 'face to face', however, it is the shop owner that I did business with, and the same guy who was telling me to come back later... just really bad business imo. I'm pretty blown away by the whole deal, but I am going to ask if he will take the equipment back and give me a refund. I just don't have any time to be dealing with this. The guy is not open on the weekends, and I work from 5am to 8pm most days, so I dont get to do shit after work bc everything is closed. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif That's why i spent some extra money in the first place, bc I wanted it done right the first time, and done well. looks like I got ****ed on this deal :p

It's possible that it's issues with the speakers in the doors, like they weren't sealed properly and air is moving through the edges, etc. Many install issues like those can happen, if it was done so sloppily.

Good luck with it - it should be a good system when it's done right. The cleansweep should only help, not hinder, the performance.

give them a visit and if they dont want to fix it then tell them you want it all ripped out and refunded. Sounds like they didnt bother to make adjustments or install it all correctly.

I always went over everything so customer knew why things were put where they were and made final adjustments while they were there listening as I was. So any questions I could answer then with them.

Most newer vehicles you really dont need to upgrade factory speakers. You can even run amps to them if not factory amplified already. Just make the proper adjustments to them. All of my vehicles I drive have bass added but no upgrades to the speakers inside. But if you sat in there you would be thinking they were all replaced.
