HAHA, I was at the local Linen and Things yesterday....they had some living room lamps that I was really wanting to purchase. They had the exact same thing at walmart for $53 (same serial number too)... I asked the manager "hey do you price match?" ... She says "we did until we went into the closing sale". so I say "well, your lamps are $79 even with your closing sale 20% discount, and they sell the same ones at Walmart for $53"... She looks at me and says "well, they're not quite exactly the same item..."... I look at her like WTF and say "uhmm...its the exact same serial number

The sad thing is people that don't pay attention to prices and don't shop around will never know that they are losing a LOT of money. Instead of waiting for CC to drop prices I'll probably just wait until black Friday to get a tv.

What made me and my GF laugh (when we were in Linens and Things) was that people around us were saying similar comments too! One woman walked by us and stated out loud "I can buy this toaster next door at Target for half this price....20% sale??????....pffft"
we just looked at each other and laughed - which validated our feelings about the scam.

That's too bad. Their customer service was really starting to pick up at the one I go to. A lot better than Best Buy.
BB sucks!!... i pretty much protest the one by me... won't shop there anymore.. I go to the CC.. can't tell you how many times i've called and been left on hold for 20 min... I don't get it..........................
