Priorities?

Does anyone, maybe your parents/spouse/friends/etc ever get on to you about putting your priorities in order?


I just bought an amp for $250 while my car is without A/C and the front end is smashed in. They thought it was ludicrous.. all I said to them was...

audioz>all.

I really do care more about the sound in my car more than being comfortable or fixing my bumper.. Am I crazy or is this a common audiophile trait?

Post some times where you got bitched at for buying audio when you just didn't have the money or shoulda bought something more "important".

As a fellow Floridian, Id sell my left nut to get my AC fixed during the summer.

I just got this car and its got some dents and body work that need....not too extreme. But I am definitely getting the system setup and spending money on that before the body work/paint job.

but on another note. i got the same speach about my old van. i paid for speakers and subs when my AC didnt work. but that car was not worth the money for something i couldnt take out once it broke down for good.

I know how it is man I have a busted up front quarter pannel on my car that is all cosmetic but still anoying and my engine that I can't go on long trips with because it burns a quart of oil from my house to chicago and back (5 hour drive each way) and the oil smells more like gas than oil its a honda though just braking in at 200K miles. Though rather than fixing that I decided to just rip the back of my car apart to find the little water leak because I can't take not having subs in my trunk expanding foamed it till I get the engine swap done and I want to fix the rust so I can deaden the inside properly then I will replace the pannel lol.

It's not worth putting $800 into the A/C, $300 into the body work, when the car is only worth ~$2000 ya know? But I might have to if I ever wanna see the damnthing :sigh:.

Meh, it's only hot in the daytime haha, so audio > all. I used to be like you OP. I used to just take my check and go buy what I wanted, or could afford and come home and my parents would be like, why did you spend your hard earned check on the shit? I would tell them, better than my slangin' dope after school? Mom alwauys got me, as she said, at least you would make better money than your current job. My mom was a funny bish........come to think of it, she still is funny.

My wife keeps me in check as I do have kids now and my priorities have changed quite a bit. Hell even at times, I think of selling all my shit too provide for them........or buy a bike, lol!

I like fresh air, so I rarely ever use A/C in the car.

and while i do have AC in my truck , i do rarly use it even when it is 98*+ outside in south miami because itll drink gas. ill live. people have it worse with no audioz in thier car so yeah.

and i agree , why invest so much into your car/truck when its only worth just a little bit more than what needs to be fixed. id rather have my fix.
