I probably woulda fixed the bumper if it was worth fixing lol, however I woulda bought the amp over the AC lol. Car still drives, its not gonna crap out on you cause you don't got AC or a bumper, your bills are paid and its what you want, if everything else just plain works then go for it. Now if your PS pump was going or shot I might fix that versus an amp but it would be a tough decision lol.

Now you want to sound responsibly thrifty and hard-working for your stuff? If you didn't want us all to think you were a spoiled rich kid, you wouldn't have told us you got a $40k car for xmas. You made your bed, now its time to lay in it.
Its tough getting a $40k car for free and having people think you are spoiled, huh? No offense meant when I say, you need to get a clue. Being rich and spoiled is fine, hell I wish I was born into money. But you could at least have the decency to realize how lucky you are. Dont come here bragging about your new car and then demand respect for saving money for your couple thousand dollar stereo on the side.

You are in college and drive a $40k car you got as a gift. So bend over so he can introduce you to the real world

On a side note - I couldn't care less about my car audio if I didn't have AC here in SC

Hey they are your priorities not theirs. As long as you aren't neglecting bills and food for audio then what do they care.

I do however point and laugh when i see a car all beat up running a system thats more expensive than the car itself. ha ha I wouldn't drive around in a car thats all smashed up but again thats my priority not yours.

I do generally feel the same way though seeing a beat car with a bumping system, but if the guy is enjoying it then more power to him.

I just bought an amp for $250 while my car is without A/C and the front end is smashed in. They thought it was ludicrous.. all I said to them was...

audioz>all.

I really do care more about the sound in my car more than being comfortable or fixing my bumper.. Am I crazy or is this a common audiophile trait?

Post some times where you got bitched at for buying audio when you just didn't have the money or shoulda bought something more "important".
