I really appreciate it guys. Have had systems my whole life but have never had to be this technical when it came to the electrical and now that I have the money to do a proper build I want to do it right. Any help would be appreciated. I have work in the morning so I’m heading to bed now but I will get ahold of y’all tomorrow. My system I’m building is described in my profile if you can use it for ideas though.
Went to audio express and I got offered 3 JY cells with 6 months use for $1300 But again I’m such a rookie when it comes to the new style of power supplies and their are so many different opinions I don’t even know where to begin. I bought an XS Power D4800 for under the hood and then was told that I should do away with AGM and just run lithium to avoid never giving my lithium the full charge that it deserves. I was told to find a blank battery case with posts which if you’re looking for XS Power or Full Throttle are harder to find that I expected. I’m not sure a marine battery box will have the quality posts that I’m going to need. So if someone could point me in the right direction I’d be extremely grateful
I wouldn't start out with lithium if this is all new to you. I won't even go lithium and I work with lithium as a part of my career, just not proven to be worth the $ long term yet, and I'm somewhere around 10kw.
So I have an M4B that I’d like to stay at 14.4 for my two DD 3515’s. I don’t want to clip them and I want to have it be reliable. I upgraded alt to Ohio Gen and it maxes at 318 I have a data sheet at home for reference. I have a 500 amp battery isolater and I was going to do an agm d4800 under hood and a 80ah ces or a limitless 80ah in back in parallel with the isolater between them so I didn’t lose my charge when not under power. But now I’m so confused from so many peoples input
It’s not actually I put, let me rephrase that. From reading so many people opinions on what to do. I’ve heard everything from buying a CMAX and putting in a blank with posts under the hood and just using the lithium to buying 12 Yinlong XS cells. I guess my biggest problem is I don’t know what I need to get what I want
So would you run 12v with 12 cells or would you go, say ces 80ah battery? I’d be happy to get rid of the front battery to go lithium all the way. I just want to make sure I’m not down to 12v or ever clipping
