whats the use of resin on enclosures?
thanks man, its a 91 auto..heres my sd page, do you have one? I go by mds on the Legend forum..Nice legend... its good to see fellow legend owners into audio... nice box too. Is it an auto or 6 speed? Anyway... about resin.. So its used kind of like clay to shape and mold areas on your box? Does it affect performance of the sub at all?
But i see people using it on mdf boxes... what does it do?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif fiberglass enclosure //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
seals it up and makes it smoother..But i see people using it on mdf boxes... what does it do?
kinda hard to coat the whole inside of the box with silicone caulk...you brush the resin on.Thats it? So isn't using silicone just that much easier?
you're correct..but the resin smooths the whole inside outI thought you just had to seal the seams...
Does this just help with overall air flow? Make it louder? What?you're correct..but the resin smooths the whole inside out
