Got a friend who just got a job at Best Buy. Was wondering if anyone knew the average of how much Best Buy marks their speaker's and head unit's prices up? Any information about this would be greatly appreciated //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif. Friend hasn't started working yet so I can't ask him yet.

speakers and subs will have the highest markup, probably around 25-60%. Acc. will have a 1-250% markup (harnesses, dash kits, wire....)amps and head units will be marked up anywhere from 15-40%. there are exceptions to all these of course....

Because without Bestbuy, we would have more unemployment which would make our recession/depression worse. Circuitcity already hurt unemployment enough, why let another company do it.
thats great that they give people jobs //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif they also kill the private shops, who are tying to make a living selling stuff they love, people who mostly do good proper install jobs, and mostly sell decent stuff. Id rather go to a locally ran shop than walking into a electronic supermarket and talking to some kid with acne trying to sell **** they know NOTHING about.

I run a business my self and this is just how I feel, plus I live in canada, and the recession aint close to what you guys are experiencing.

Not to hate on the small shops at all because i understand what you mean. But with all do respect, these small shops aren't helping the economy as much as the big shops do. Every small shop ive been in has had higher prices than any big store ive ever been in.
