Preventing interference from RCA cables

I know people say to run the RCA cables along the opposite side of the car that the power cables are located on. Well, the person who installed my amp (before I knew how to do it) ran them right by each other. I haven't noticed any interference but would wrapping the RCA cable in electric tape help reduce any possible interference?

I really don't want to have to to take my radio out and run the cables down the other side, it's time consuming.

I'm not experiencing any interference, I just to make sure that there isn't any that I'm not hearing.

I'm going to assume you are talking about a sub amp.

If its a low frequency amp with a low pass filter then you shouldn't have to worry about high frequency noise introduced threw the rca because the low pass filter will filter it out, Today's cars a lot quieter as well. I personally never run rca's on the other side unless i was doing a 4ch install.

Yes it is a sub amp. I wouldn't think I would hear interference any way, even if there is any. I'll just leave it alone.

don't know about noise, but it will pick up a lot of current signal from the power cable, depending on how much power you pass, and how close they are. if it's 4awg, then i don't think there is any real hazard. you ever see welding leads hop around on the floor?
