Precision flared port face the same way as the sub?

Well I have two 10'' Tc-7's.

The box designs are 40 long, by 12 high and 12 deep to give me 4.45^3 airspace.

I need to use two 3'' in diameter 14'' long (14 instead of 13 inch to compensate for the flare).

So, the box isn't deep enough to have the ports fire the same way as the sub.

So, is it a problem to face each one to the side, or should I buy an elbow or something of the such?
