Pre-Outs & RCA's

i did do that, but it didnt think that would hurt anything, cause the amp wasnt recieving a signal, (no rca's in the low input), so there for the line out wouldnt have a signal either, there was only one set of rca's hooked to the amp.

one more question, Maylar made the comment that it sounds like im overdriving the amp. Are you saying that the symptoms i described (poping bass sound from the subs, when HU is powered on/off, and CD being ejected and inserted) or that a Pre-Out going bad is a sign of the amp being overdriven?
No, I misunderstood your first post. Popping noises from a sub can be from hitting them with too much power or a clipped signal. Popping from turn on / turn off is something else.
