Pproblems With T40001BD's?

has anyone had a problem with this amp?

i think the power supply went bad in the one i got... it worked for a couple hours, then when u touched the remote wire to it, it made a screetching noise and put out no signal to the sub.

i sent it back, so im getting a bran new one. just wondering if its common?
