PPI P1000.1 protects when clipping?

My PPI P1000.1 goes into protect mode when its starts clipping (according to my nano oscope).

It did that ever since i bought it new from sonicelectronix.

Is this a common thing with these amps?

Is your voltage sagging? Properly sized power and ground wire? Where and how is it grounded?

It also happens when the subs are unhooked to set gains. Voltage and ground seem fine.

It could be an issue with the amplifier, but you're not really telling me anything useful about your troubleshooting and installation methods like I asked.
