I have one bridge to a 1ohm 12 and it rips pretty hard. It loves to take a ton of space in your car, then **** up as much power from your battery it can gulp, and turn it into heat, and about 1.6k

You saying you are getting 1600 watts from your amp ????

I'm saying they are monster a/b amps. They are rated at 1200 at 1ohm and have been know to be a bit underrated. I've heard 1600 on a clamped measurement but nothing on a dd1 yet. I hope old school tests one soon though.

Well,

Same legend says the older 2100s have a design flaw, and the 275s will out gun them any day.

Would YOU be satisfied if I changed it to 1.4k?

Does the word "about" cover that?

The point is, it's gonna try and **** the charging system dry. It's just like what my wife and daughters do to my wallet.

I don't know anything about a design flaw in the 2100's but, the 275r won't do 1400 either. I'd say somewhere between 1200-1300 clean (no clipping) at 14.4 volts. There's nothing wrong with the amp, it's just not going to be as underrated as their legend would have you believe. I have a 225r sitting right here that does 450 watts at 1 ohm mono. It's rated to do 400 by Orion. The good thing about the old Orion's is that they do their rated power under a lot of tough conditions. That and their sound quality

Totally,

I have in my truck a 275r on sub, 250r on midbass and a 150r on tweets/ rear. My repair guy told me he has heard of people clamping these to around 1600. That said, I'd put money on mine never, at any point of using it, even on the loudest tracks, puts out anything near that much power. I just don't need it.

I do love the old promos in your pic. I hade two of the 50s. My first quality amp was a 2150am? It was a 75 x 2 and I remember being in high school raving of the sound quality difference it made on my mtx truck boxes in the back of my hatch. L O L
