i would say yes. My nephew has one and it does the job very well. Has it powering a 600watts rms Pioneer sub. On this particular amp, we had to set the gain knob about 2/3 way to get good output. Gotta love the small footprint also. Power wire input kind of small. We have 4 guage running to it and had to trim it down a bit for it to fit. But as far as power, it does the job!

That's something I don't under stand is why ppl use the 4 gauge amp wire instead of the 8 since it is only 600 or so watts I thought 8 gauge was good up to a certain amount of power

8 is only good for 50 amps at 20 feet. Good 8 that is. Cable is a choke point so it needs to be as large as possibl

On music this amplifier will be fine with good quality 8 AWG power cable. The problem is you're close to maxing out the current capacity of this size wire with this amplifier, so you have no room to add more power, such as a 2-channel or 4-channel amplifier for your speakers. Also, a lot of 8 gauge car audio wire is undersized, so you might as well spend the money on a reputable brand's 4 AWG wire.

The ppi 650.1 is not 1 ohm stable. And is only rated at 400 watts rms at a 4 ohm load. So it's not a good match for your subs.

to properly power use the jl audios becasue the infinities youll have to wire to 4 ohms. and the jls to 2 ohms so youll get power out of the amp. or run a single infinity speaker at 2 ohms in a proper custom box built to subs specs.

That's what I'm using now are the infinity s in a 4 cubic tuned at 35 with 4 inch slot port have them wired 2ohm to a 2 channel amp don't ask about the amp it is crap that is why I'm trying to get ideas on a better one
