PPI flat sub recone? *Pics*

I have an old PPI 10" flat-piston sub that I'd like to have reconed. Does anybody know of a company off hand that would be able to recone it? I sent a couple of emails out tonight, so maybe I'll hear back from them this week. I really don't even know who to ask to recone it.

Does anybody know who made these for PPI?

[EDIT] These are the later models with the large magnet and cast frame.

I called Precision Power two years back and they said they won't recone my PPI pro 12" because it's not in production anymore.

If you find somebody that will recone it, let me know. I'd love to mess around with it again.

I'm trying.

I guess I kind of have an emotional connection to it. It was my first venture into 'expensive' subs.

I'd actually love to be able to save the original cone and just drop-in a new VC and spider.

Yeah, same here. It was the first good sub I owned. I had two, one of them blew, and I sold the other one. They sounded great sealed powered by my JBL 1200.1.

What's stupid is that I never got to hear their full potential because the JBL 1200.1 has stupid rca connections because you need rca splitters to get full sound. I never knew about that until after one of my PPI's blew. They were some of the best sounding subs I've ever heard, if not the best.

Call Atomic.

Not sure if they can do it, but they are able to recone my REs. Might be worth a shot.

I emailed TC Sounds, but Atomic is a good idea too.

Maybe I'll just try calling a few places tomorrow.

I wish I could find a spec sheet somewhere.

Off hand, do you know if the 10" uses the 3" VC as well?
