PPI 4100 with kicker comps

Would a bridged PPI 4100 be adequate, or to much for a pair of 15 kicker comp 40cwd154's?

They will be in a sealed box that I'm making out of 3/4 mdf with a double layer in the front. I know they're cheap subs, but wanted something until I get get my hands on something better in the future.

Enclosure will be in a mercury mariner. Thanks

Toasting a voicecoil is rarely from overpowering. The amp will not like a 2 ohm bridged configuration. It's asking to blow it.

Gotcha. What old school amp would you recommend for a 2 ohm load? Soundstream, Kicker?

Or, would it be better to just run it bridged at 4ohms by wiring the speaker in series?

Just get a modern 1ohm mono. 500 watts is cheap these days. You will be better off

Toasted voice could were prly from a dirty signal. That amp is a 4ch amp. You were trying to put out more clean power then u could and fried subwoofers in the past... get a decent little mono block for woofer duty and put that PPI amp on the mids n highs.
