anyone know the exact specs on this old amp, i currently have it on 4 10 inch subs and i am about to put it on a 13w7, wanted to know the specs before i do, i've read places it's 300x2 rms and rear elsewhere that it is 1500w @ 4 ohms, any help would be appreciated

Not really sure if memory is serving me correctly but I think it was rated at

300x2 @4ohms

600x2 @2ohms

1500+x1 @4ohms

all at 10v-14.4v

Or these may be the specs for the A1200........now that I think about the A1200 is what replaced the 2300m....gee it's been so long...heheheheh:D //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif :D

I'm sure you are right, especially about the A1200 being rated at 1200x1@4ohms, but wasn't the 2300m rated to do a little more at that mono load????//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif :D //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

thats what its rated at i think, but im sure it actually puts out about 1500.

like my pc2350, rated at 1400, but closer to 1800:D

2 x 300W @ 4 ohms

2 x 600W @ 2 ohms

1 x 1200W @ 4 ohms bridged

Fuse: 2 x 35A

Manufactured in 1991-1992

May be 1 ohm stereo stable, but with that nice of an amp, I wouldn't risk it.

IIRC, these were before PPI moved away from unregulated power supplies in their Art/proMOS/other high-end amps so it's likely to be underrated by anywhere from 25 to 150 watts.

Hi I used to have one of these amps. I know its a 2 channel mono amp that means you can not bridge this amp. I know its 300 x 2 rms at 4 ohms each channel. I also know it can go down to 1 ohm stable on each channel. That I think that is around 600 x 2 rms at 1 ohm each channel. I had 2 12 inch JL WO 8 ohms. The bass was clear loud and hard pounding.
