Its new in the box havent installed it yet decided to do something different asking 350 obo

FEATURES & BENEFITS

· DIGITAL CONTROL: XS VOLT’s DIGITAL control system utilizes actual digital circuits along with MOSFET and PWM technologies to create the fastest voltage and load response time available in the market. Most alternator designs require an entire volt drop and up to 10 seconds of delay time before they will respond to an increasing amp load. This can result in typical alternators ignoring short bass notes or not maximizing output at SPL competitions. XS VOLT responds almost instantaneously (about 100 milliseconds) to increasing loads. When viewed on a computer dyno, the units appear to almost predict an oncoming load.

· ADJUSTABLE VOLTAGE: XS VOLT offers an adjustable voltage set point. By turning a potentiometer on the back of the unit, voltage can be adjusted within a rated range of 13.5 and 18.5 volts. This adjustment sets the voltage goal of the alternator and, in most cases, the upper voltage limit of the electrical systems. XS VOLT alternators can be adjusted to optimize amplifier voltage and/or properly charge 16-volt batteries.

· REMOTELY SWITCHABLE VOLTAGE PRESETS: XS VOLT units can be configured to offer up to three dashboard or podium switchable presets. By applying (-) ground to a lead on an optional plug/harness (P/N 127), the voltage level will step down 1.25 volts from where the unit’s potentiometer is set. By applying (+) voltage to another lead, the voltage level will move to 14.5 volts. With additional components XS VOLT units can be setup to charge a vehicle’s 12-volt system in primary mode and then, when needed, step voltage up and switch the charge over to a 16-volt battery bank in a secondary mode for competition.

*Keep in mind that the alternator can only maintain these voltages if it is operating at or below its RPM specific amperage capabilities. If the amp load exceeds the alternators capability, system voltage will approach battery voltage.

· ALL INTERNAL COMPONENTS: With XS VOLT, all components are internal. This means there is no external regulator to deal with. The only advantage of an external regulator is that it moves sensitive electronics away from the heat generated by the alternator. The XS VOLT regulator utilizes a massive red anodized heat sink that extends through the alternator’s rear housing to cool the internal electronics, so heat is not a problem.

· ONE WIRE OPERATION: When custom mounting an XS VOLT alternator, wiring is easy. Simply connect a 1/0 charge wire from the alternator’s 5/16” diameter gold output terminal to the positive battery post. No other wiring connections are required. The unit will turn itself on when the engine is started, and off when the engine is turned off. A 1/0 ground from the alternator to the battery is recommended.

· 300/350 AMP OUTPUT: Powermaster’s SPL alternators utilize special custom wound stators and our own rotor design, in conjunction with the XS VOLT’s capabilities, to create the ultimate car audio alternator. Units typically produce 300 amps at 2000 engine RPMs when used with a 12-volt system and 350 amps when used with 16-volt systems. The SPL alternators are specifically designed for trailer only extreme competition vehicles. Because of the radical design, output at idle is usually 0 and because of additional heat created; these units should not be operated at full output for more than a few minutes. In some cases, SPL units can be custom installed as a second alternator to the original unit for street applications. However, caution must be taken that only short-term loads are sent to the SPL alternator

I was going to use it for a 2nd alternator for my truck to turn on during competitons.
