I am replacing my stock speakers and wanting to go active xover. I am looking at a pioneer deq-9200p to manage my sound. I have infinity kappa 63.9i's in the doors. I am powering them with Avionixx 440.4 amp. 110rms@2 ohms or 85rms @ 4ohms. My idea is wire the front channel power to my tweeters and the rear power the mids. I am looking at CDT TW-25 SOB but can't find their power rating. I wanted to use Infinity Kappa 10.9's but only rated to 50rms @2ohms.
Anybody have a recommendation for tweets or can I use the CDT's (open box set for $50)? If I am going to be spending $100 or more on tweeters should I just bite the bullet on a set of components. I am trying to do a budget install (and use what as much stuff that I already have) that will still sound decent. Any recommendations on a set of components that work with the power I am pushing. I would like to go with CDT's, Image dynamics, or the like (less than $200). Most of the sets I see are rated for 150rms @4ohms. Or will it still sound decent underpowered by half? I was taught to go for a little head room with the amp. This is just a DD not competion or showing off. Just looking to have something that can sound clean and keep up with an IDQ12.
