powered sub needs a seperate wire to battery?

I am thinking of purchasing either the

Audiobahn ATB8AT

I thought that powered subs needed to be connected to the positive terminal in battery. Looking in the manual for the Audiobahn confirms this, but the manual for the Kenwood does not show a connection to the positive terminal. Is this correct? I will get the Kenwood then as I don't have to fish the wire through the firewall.

Looking at that diagram for some incredibly stupid reason they are showing running the yellow power wire to the HU?!?

That yellow wire with its included 10a fuse needs to be powered by a connection to the battery I would wager...

its not hard to run power wire. i would get the kenwood only kuz audiobahn *****, and what kindof car are you going to put this in

impreza wagon. the kenwood is small enought that it will fit under the front passenger seat.

It may not be hard to drill a hole but I want to use an existing one.
