Powerbook starting to die

Well I have a 4 1/2 year old powerbook g4 which I just upgraded the hard drive about 3 weeks ago. But it seams that its great run is coming to the end. My battery life is now down to 41 minutes if that from what I was getting which was 1 hour 45 minutes. The power cord is like a life support line for it. Also after being dropped 3 times it still runs. But the monitor is starting to flicker different colors every once in a while. And also just say that apple make one of the best products I have ever used.

LOL thanks it does not owe me a thing has been the best. If I wanted to I could probably buy a new battery and all but why, time to move on to a better and new one.

Yeah man, feel your pain. My power book is 9 years old, and will not turn on unless I leave it on the charger. Obviously need a new battery for it, but just doesn't seem worth it...Have to reset the clock everytime I turn it off and on too...definitely a little beast of a computer though...remember playing MAME on it in class, TMNT arcade....sigh //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Ya I will probably still use it for lan parties for unreal tournament. But just been great.

my 3 year old compaq laptop only lasts about 20-25 minutes when not connected to the wall. it still portable however and it really is not an inconvienience to have plugged in.

Love my unibody macbook pro! Sucks about your powerbook but it's a great time to upgrade!
