People look down upon them because they aren't a huge mainstream brand like JL. They shouldn't be underestimated though, the XS series are very reasonably priced and can do some respectable numbers.

i use to have 2 12" pb chrome series on a jl 500/1 and they pounded. i never had a problem w/ then, that is until someone jacked all my stereo equipment lastmonth.

i'm runnin a powerbass 3000a and it is a very solid amp, not as good as my old orion 2500d but it gets the job done..

depends on what you running the powerbass at, its very close to the orions power, i mean VERY close. i like the powerbass better then the 2500 b/c it can be strapped.
