2 Powerbass 3000's, **** near brand new (used maybe 5 times). Sent back my old ones due to having these on the box and ratteling the caps off the board, and they sent me brand new ones.

1st pic is of the interior- note these are the ones i had problems with, i havent opened up the new ones.

have you or anyone ever tested the powerbass 3000 on 16v @ a low ohm, and

what kind of power did you get

I have never tested on 16 volt, but i know people have giving them 18v straight out of the box no problem , but not sure what they are stable to at that voltage. I know they will run at 1 ohm strapped without a single problem on 12v.

And yeah, I think dealer cost on these amps is in the area of $650

what kind of power were you seeing out of yours strapped at 1ohm? thats 0.5 ohm per amp for people that are wondering so they are pretty stable...

I never tested mine (dont own the proper equipment to test) but they are listed as doing 6200 per pair strapped from by powerbass, and id expect somewhere around that range maybe +/- 2-300 watts

Are they HUGE current hogs like the ma hk4000d? Whats the amp draw?

I cant seem to find any links to current draw, but i have never really noticed a problem, but ive got some battery power behind them (when i had 4 i had the stock battery under the hood, and 2 8d's in the back) and now I have a stock battery and 1 8d for the pair and i havent noticed a huge draw of current
