Hello guys, this is my 2nd thread in here and I want 2 ask you again to be sure I'm making the right decision.

After more documentation about audio car in bass category I've finally decided to make my own enclosure but now I can't decide what type should be: sealed/bandpass/bass reflex ???

The speaker and the amp would be a

+

Hollywood HXA 20 (I've read here it does 218w@4ohms, I think it would totally move that speaker even if is a very tiny amp but what distorsions will it have ? The THD wrote down is at just 30% of volume, will it badly increase ?).

I never had a subwoofer and I don't know what differences would be between sealed and the other 2 types in power category but I like the ideea I'll get more hz and very good quality + less space occupied. The car is a sedan and the general music played is hiphop if that does help in any way. If some1 had that speaker/amp or both please tell me few words about them like a little review. So my final question is: does that setup diserve 200 euro (no enclosure included) and what type of enclosure should I choose ?!?

Tyvm, Ionutz.

First off if you have the money i would REALLY encourage getting to at least the XL series by Powerbass (I do know the powerbass 2xl 12s run around 115 usd a piece on amazon give or take) I personally have a powerbass XL 10 inch in my car and it sounds great in my sealed box, but isnt the loudest... sealed boxes tend to produce punchy tighter bass where as a ported box will tend to be louder but in a boomy kind of way (wont sound as musical more thunderous) I personally payed (for a powerbass xl 10 and 900 watt dual channel brigeable amp) $250 in usd which is equivalent to around 185 eur... now obviously i have a 10 so its a little cheaper but i also didnt use sites like amazon soooo you may be able to get a better setup than me for cheaper... with this said i have NOTHING but good things to say about my sub BUT i do want to upgrade and will be putting 2 pioneer pro champion series 10" subs into my car here soon... Powerbass is a GREAT product for the money though and (at least the XL and above models) can handle more power than they are rated at pretty well
