Power?

Was wondering what typically is the power need to power a 10-12" sub for my home audio system. Plan on getting a plate amp. I will be using a car sub, with good tight bass, and good volume, do I need the same amount of RMS as in car? Cause most plate amps dont go this high...Would 200watts be sufficient? Kinda new to the home audio stuff

I have decided to run 2 8" Soundsplinter subs. They can handle anywhere from 250-500 rms a piece...Where is a good place to get these plate amps,,,and how do the amps hook to reciever?

Get something from partexpress, dayton 1000rms plate amp, or rack, then you'll need interconnect RCA so you connect the plate to your receiver or Y-adapter ; RCA to 3.5mm stereo if you wanna conenct it to a computer or cd player
