Power with the fuse missing!!

I have 2 12's and 2 10's with 2 amps that i installed myself in my mustang. I just ran both power wires from the positive battery terminal. When i have both in-line fuses present, my stereo and both amps still run even when the car is turned off. When i take the in-line fuse out of one of the power cables, the stereo and amps do not run when the car is off, but the amp with the missing in-line fuse still runs!! How is that possible? Do i need to get a distribution block to solve this problem? I've never encountered this problem before.

Either the amp is POSSESSED, or you've wired the amp(s) wrong.

When you say works, can you see LED's on, or just hear music? How is all this stuff wired? After you explain how you meant to have 10's and 12's and 2 amps in your trunk, we might be able to offer some suggestions.

Off the top...

The remote wire needs to, at least, be off your ACC line, that way when the key is off the amps turn off. A better way would be to run a line to a relay off your HU remote wire, that way when the radio is off the amps turn off.

personally, i would run a bigger power wire for the two amps. then i would get rid of two of the lesser-quality subs and the lesser-quality amp. and build a box specifically for those subs that are left (looks like the 12's are better transducers, and the planet audio amp is a better amp) - but thats just me. or get four 10's or four 12's of the same kind, and an amp (or two) that match. otherwise different signals will collide when the different speakers produce different frequencies and you will get tons of cancelation and weird anomolies.

as far as one of the amps turning on, like he said- there might be some strands of wire from the battery+ terminal touching the remote-turnon terminal on the suspishious amplifier. that would keep the amplifier on, but removing the fuse for the power wire - that would definalty turn it off.

you better rip out that entire install and figure out whats going on man. sounds like you seriously wired somthing wrong.

Hey guys, I just checked all my wiring and on the amp with no fuse, the remote wire had just one small strand of wire touching the power wire. I trimmed and insulated all my leads, so now my system runs correctly! Thank for the help guys. Oh and btw im new here and this was my first post!
