Hey guys. I am running 2 infinity reference amps. The 475a (75 rms x 4) and the 1600a (600 rms x 1 @2ohms). Im pretty sure both amps call for a 4 gauge power wire. I was an idiot and went to frys and bought a 4 gauge amp kit for 60 bucks. The wire is absolute shit!!! The plastic around the wire is thicker than the wire itself. I would say the wire is a true 8 gauge if that. Anyways because I was so excited to hear the system I installed it anyways. It sounds okay but I want to upgrade the wire. Should I:
A) Go online and buy a good 8 gauge wire and run another wire along side the original wire and do 1 to each amp.
or
B) Buy a good 4 gauge wire and pull out my shit wire. Then wire them both up with a dist block?
I dont want to spend extra money if I dont have too.. What do you guys think? My system isnt crazy big, im just powering 2 shallow mount pioneer 12's and 2 sets of the PPI365cs components. Thanks!
