I'm pretty sure this diagram i made up is correct.

My first question is since wire (1) from the battery to the fuse box is smaller than my power wire (2) am i defeating the purpose of the 0 gauge wire and/or will wire (1) burn out if wire (2) is ******* up too much power? or is it fine to wire it this way?

Also to do the big 3 i replace wire (3) with the extra ground wire KnuKonceptz send me with my amp wiring kit? And then buy some more 0 gauge power wire from them to replace the batt neg to the engine block and the batt postive to the alt. and then im done?

Big 3:

0 GA wire from Battery - to vehicle ground

0 GA wire from battery - to engine metal (or alt frame)

0 GA wire from Alternator + to battery +

basicly..... get as much 0 GA wire from all of your high current connections to lower the resistance and free up some extra amps when the bass drops. You might wanna run your KNU wire from the amps/back of car DIRECTLY to the battery + as well...

Hey... do what you wanna do.. its your ride. theres a TON of sticky posts in the electrical section regarding the Big 3..

Battery terminals would be suggested, try something from KNU, or from Stinger. Pref with 0 GA connections and a 4 GA connection as well. Make sure you get corresponding NEG and POS, as they are diff sizes.

also i read a while back that your not supose to replace these wires or something like that, you just add when you do the big 3? is this true

Technically you could.....but i don't think it would be worth the trouble splitting up the factory wiring.....and, if you ever sell the vehicle you can easily take it back off...

i dont think you should use 0 gauge on alt to batt after what ohio generator told me.the say its to low resistance and it will cause your alternator to die faster.

he i asked them and they said to use 4 gauge on it and not 0 gauge they said its has somthing to do with to much power or current but they said 0 gauge is fine on the others just not the alt to battery.
I don't see how that could be true.
