Power to type-r's?

I bought a rockford fostgate T10001-bd amp to power subs that I am going to be getting. I am looking at 2 12" Type-R's to run at 1 ohm. My dilema is that the amp actually puts out 1670 watts at 1 ohm. Is that too much power for daily usage for these subs?

no, it'll be fine. just set the gains correctly. i ran a little over 800wrms to a single r for awhile with no problems at all.

would 2 15" Type-R's Run well off that power? Or would you suggest sticking with the 2 12" type-r?

I'm running 1200 to my single 12" type r. they will take it easily.

get the two 15s, if you have the room and if you have the money for another 10001
