The other day I installed my amp + subs. Decided while I was doing this I would re-solder the rear speakers on the harness from the HU to the one I bought originally for make of my car. (My rear speakers used to only work when it was warm so I wanted to fix the connection).
Anyways, got everything connected back up and there was no power to the HU. I don't think much about it at that moment as I had to head out somewhere... in the process of driving the HU turns on... so I figure definitely a loose connection some where.
The following day, I grabbed the ol' voltmeter and found out where the problem was. The ign/acc line was fine w/ 12 volts running w/ the key turned. The problem comes at the battery line on the car side of the harness. Running the voltmeter here, voltage may be running, or may not be running. I am unable to make this happen just by playing w/ the wires, but it happens while driving.
Only I'm not sure how to determine where there may be a stretch or small break or something in the line. This is where I turn to ask you all for help.
