Power Requirements Question

I am going to install a SCV2000d along with a RF power 400.4 in a Dodge Ram

Electrical plan 160 amp stock alt with Ofc 1/0 big 3 and all Ofc 1/0 to A Northstar group 27 in the rear

I will run the stock front until it dies unless there is a compelling reason to swap It

Is this ok? 0verkill?

Currently with just the single 1/0 no big 3 or extra batt I hold 13.8 with my current 2 amps totaling 1000 RMS

Not overkill probably just right although you'll definitely drop to battery voltages

You might have a bit more you can get out of your ampif you are barely dropping or your box rise is high.

Currently running a 2 ohm JL 12W1v3 in 1.1 net sealed it is just my temporary sub

Gains are down a bit also

No doubt when the Sundown 2k amp and the IA 15 go in I will see how well my plan is working.

The Group 27 Northstar will be about 4 feet from the amp rack and I may pick up a volt meter for the amp rack

I can get Deka or Northstar at dealer cost or possibly slightly below so upgrading the front will be possible if needed

The stock location takes a BCI 94r and is fairly snug in the tray so no big battery options in front
