power question?.....

I havent ran 2 amps in a car before, always stuck to one. If you have 2 amps running instead of 1 it will use alot more power right? Im thinkin about gettin 2 for my next setup but i dont want to if it will take much more power away from the battery. My alternator is only a 60 amp LOL but ill be getting a new one thats either 140 or 200 amps. Following upgrade of the big 3. Would i be better stickin with 1 big amp say rated at 1400-1600 watts @ 1 ohm or 2 smaller amps rated at 700-800 watts each?
