can i build a good 15inch sub that can handle 1500rms with a powerpunch motor? the orginal power punch had a 4 inch coil. i have a basket just need the soft parts.
yea dubble stack rated for 1000 rms. i can get a recone with a fater surround from psi for 120ish mayb better coils. gona do mayb direct leads 8ga cuz i have a 12 spoke basket the orginal was 4 spoke but i dont have no terminals. for the recone/glue/wire/and a few bucks for my buddy to help do the recone mayb 150-160 just wana make sure 1500 can b had .You mean the series that was before the "hx2" line?
the power punch has a smaller surrond , seen a few updated recones rated for 1200-1500 at 1 ohm that would b nice. would psi out right say yea u can send 1500 or would it b a shot in the dark?Hmm...well I dont know if the power punch motor was identical to the power hx motors, but I know that people used to run 1500+ all day to the stock power hx2s. Those were also 4inch coil.....And if you can get it done for 160 or so, that is going to beast on anything you could buy for that price I'm sure
cool so we need the soft parts/glue/some screws . i think its a drop in recone with fater sorround and better coil.gona go foward and lets see how much money.I think anytime a sub is built somewhat custom, a concise rating can never be given...but Im sure something like "1200-1500" would be about right..
thanks small basket and the motor dubble stack should do well tune low small box should b good. tbo for 110 or so for soft parts i could order that my self and hold on to it. mayb a coustom dustcapId give it a shot...it has potential to be pretty beast
anyeles think so?I would think that 1500 could be had pretty easy. The coils we have now have to be a good bit better than the originals.
