Power Inverters

I was wondering if power inverters use ALOT of battery power of the car?To the point of having to buy a new battery or will there be no problem wiht the alternator? Also is it possible to buy a seperate battery and hook it up to that?

depends on the size of it, and how many amps it pulls.

the power inverter is 375watts nonstop and a peak of 600watts. and about 110watts will be hooked up to it maybe
