Power into Ground?!?

Hey, I'm new here. Very nice forum.

My question is... is it possible for me to use a Power wire instead of my ground wire. My ground wire is thin and some people are saying I need a thicker one about the size of my power wire. So my question is can I use some power wire for the ground side?

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I'm quite new to this stuff.

Lol, he probably meant he's going to have 2 power wires in his amp and is going to come back with his system melted.

LMAO.. Ouch.. I'm glad I waited.. Let me understand this first...

I have a red power wire (Thick) and I have a brown ground wire (Not as thick as power) installed already .. ~_~.. I had a '15 sub hook up to it for around 3 days but I took it out because I wanted new subs. My question was since I have a red (thick) power wire.. will I be able to use some more red (thick) power wire for ground also.

Yes the use the red wire as the ground wire, you want the same gauge ground and power wire. The only difference between wire is the color of the isulation around it, they all do the same thing

Take that red wire and use it as your power wire like u already were, then your gonna need a whole new piece of wire for the ground it needs to be the same size as the power wire...so yes u can use some more power wire as a ground also
